Welcome to Larry and Melissa's blog. We focus on two player gaming and gaming with our two children, ages 10 & 8. This blog will feature random musings, gaming reports and reviews from both of us. We will also post some non-gaming thoughts from time to time. Feel free to join in the discussions.

The December Challenge continues into Day 6. Tonight was my turn to select a game for our list and I picked Diamant.

Diamant
is a game I rate a 10. I think it is a wonderful push your luck game. It is fun to play with children, non-gamers and gamers. Further, it is great with anywhere from 3 to 8 players.

In virtually all games of Diamant, there is one player who continually pushes too far and is burned time and time again. Tonight, that role was played by me.

Round 1
saw two early snakes and no one escaped with any treasure.

Round 2 saw Melissa, my son, and me leave early, splitting the available gems into three pitiful shares. Daughter stayed a while longer then got out safely.

Round 3
saw Melissa leave at the correct time, as the remaining three of us were chased away once again by the big yellow snake.

Round 4 saw Melissa and Son make it out with treasure at the same time. Daughter and I stayed but a rock slide forced us to abandon all our treasure and flee to the exit.

Round 5 saw Melissa wisely choose to leave early. The rest of us were trailing and tried to get more treasure. That didn't work.

Final Scores: Melissa 38, Daughter 21, Son 16, Larry 6.
