Well our plans changed today. The kids were scheduled to come home because they had basketball practice. Basketball practice was cancelled however, so we decided to let the kids stay one more night with their cousin so Melissa and I could finish Christmas shopping.

The children upheld their end of the challenge by playing Scrabble Slam!.

Scrabble Slam! is a game that I do not own and do not know how to play. My cousin has it and the children have played it before. I can't relate any details of the game other than son and daughter tied.

Melissa and I were tired after shopping but wanted to keep the challenge alive. We decided to play Jaipur.

Jaipur is a neat little two player game that I haven't played as much as I would like. I received it from my FTL Secret Santa last year (thanks Lanadove). I rate it an 8 and it is our 4th recorded play on BGG.

The game is played in rounds, with the first player to win 2 rounds declared the winner of the game.

In the first round, the 5 point bonus for having the most camels proved to be the difference as I used it to win by 4 points. Larry 74, Melissa 70.

Melissa would have to win the second round to extend the game. She was able to capture the camel bonus but not much else. Larry 83, Melissa 69.

Final Score: Larry over Melissa 2-0.

I don't know what happened in that second round. I felt sure I was going to win. Maybe I didn't add my scores correctly. That's it. Glad to get the kids back home tonight!
