Look AT-AT what I came up with

Ouch.. sorry. I won't do that again.

Okay, so I made up a sample AT-AT and AT-ST. Here is a picture of them.

Not sure what in the world happened to the ATST feet... Terrible. I have an idea for a fix, though. Here is a pic of a chicken walker:

I'm going to make up a cover for the feet to look a bit like those.

I am happy with how well the head is secured onto the ATST body now. I am of two minds about the tab that I added on the AT-AT. Here is a detail shot

It is more secure, but aesthetically, I don't like it as well. I have an idea for a fix on that as well. I will forgo the top tab and increase the length of the side tabs. On the texture, there is actually a little "panel" that runs there, so my new idea is to make the tab conform to it. Maybe it will look more natural. I also should probably seek out a grey sharpie for edging. The black edging highlights the tabs too much. I'm about out of glue anyway, so I guess I can try to pick up both.

From your images (here and previously) these appear to be only paper. Is that correct? Or do you have some balsa wood struts for added support anywhere?

(I'm really enjoying seeing your images as you progress with this game. This might have to be one of the games I build for my future son-in-law for Christmas next year.)

It is all paper. All you would need to build these models is some cardstock. The legs on both models have two layers, which it makes it pretty sturdy. I wouldn't throw them around, though. They certainly wouldn't survive one of Tom Vasel's component drops.

Note, the AT-ST won't stand on its own. It needs to be glued to a base. When I made them before, I wasn't sure how well they would stay up, but amazingly enough they do indeed stand.

I'm going to make a future post about the specific materials that I am using, probably later tonight.

So, you might start now if you want to be done by next Christmas . You haven't seen the snowspeeders yet.. very fiddly.
