Game Dev Diary - Starfall Forest

Game development diary for my new children's board game Starfall Forest (formerly known as 'Stardust'). And oh, it's a board game that doesn't use a board..

Hi,

This afternoon I made these new dice:

I have 6 of them in total, so that should be enough to do some testing.

A snake means that a snake can be moved 1 space. If you roll more than 1 snake you can move a single snake multiple spaces. But you can also move multiple snakes.
A fairy means that you can move your fairy 1 space. Again, the more fairies you roll, the farther you can move your fairy.
A tree means that you are free to choose what you will use the die for; for your fairy or for a snake.

I've also made some dice with a different distribution across the faces (2 stars, 2 snakes, 2 fairies). But I think the dice with the trees (wildcards) will probably work best.

Cheers,
Martijn
