Bobby's Games

I will be posting monthly recaps of my gaming which I have been doing in GeekLists. I'll also be commenting on games on occasion, though I can tell you that I will be behind the curve because I just don't get to play the new games as soon as some people do.

Last week's choice of Boomtown didn't get played last week, mostly because there were just three of us and I remember not liking it as much with just three players. I'll continue to bring it along for a few Saturdays and see if I can get it played.

When thinking of games that play best with three players, Web of Power is one which often springs to the top of my mental list. I don't know why it doesn't get played more.

The reimplementation, China, got rid of the first scoring, added more cards to draw from, and fortifications. While it is still fun, and I own both, I prefer the original.

I know Michael is not going to make it this week, so if Nico and Ben make it and no one else does, this would be a good one to get played.

Web of Power is a terrific game for three- and I agree with you that the original implementation is somehow better.

Have fun playing it again!

Thanks! But I bet we will have too many players this week, just like there were too few last week for Boomtown.
