YAY, a chance to play games during the DAY!! (I am cursed with morning person genes)
I tweet about board gaming at @BGGgirl, about writing/illustrating at @inkyelbows.
Yay, got to play both new Dixit games this afternoon!

Dixit: Journey is basically the same game as the original Dixit, but with brand new art and an improved scoreboard:

In addition to clear instructions to make it easier for those found scoring confusing before, the board also comes with a numbered guide for placing player cards for voting.

Again, thanks to Joel Gagnon from Asmodee for teaching the game:

The artist is Xavier Collette - GORGEOUS work. Here's a sample:

My fellow players: Donna Balkan, Carlos Hernandez, Pierre Poissant-Marquis (also from Asmodee) and Joel. Carlos had to leave at this point, but the rest of us went on to play Dixit Jinx.

It's a shorter and more intense version of Dixit -- fun, but I still prefer the original. Those who find the original Dixit too slow-paced, however, should definitely check it out. I can also see this as a good travel game (takes up less room than the original Dixit).

Games discussed above:
