Normandy, June 6th, 1944 – as you land on the well-defended beaches, a German machine gun nest is killing your comrades like flies. You must do something!
In D-Day Dice, players are Allied soldiers trying to organize improvised units for an attack against the machine gun nest. Each player starts the game with a unit of a few soldiers and nothing else. As the game progresses, he will collect resources and advance on the beach, sector by sector, as his unit grows stronger and deadlier. He will succeed...or die trying.
D-Day Dice is a multiplayer co-op game, where all players play their turn simultaneously and must help each other in order to stay alive. It also includes solitaire optional rules. Although built around dice rolling, this game is about resource management (soldiers, specialists, items and courage) and knowing when to move your unit. Resources are kept from turn to turn, so the players can plan ahead.
This is a "Brain Tickler" to help you through Phase 4 (Move & Advance) without forgetting anything.
Have you ever advanced your unit only to realize a short while later that you forgot to take advantage of your 'Beachmaster'? Or have you ever simply forgotten to pay the Courage Cost after you advance? Or maybe you don’t remember whether you did or not? Perhaps you're in a groove with everything going your way... you advance, take care of business, then transition to Phase 1 to suddenly realize how you overlooked the crossed-out specialist tucked-away in your sector... the same one you still have in your hand and just used to help you make it this far. Hate it when that happens!
If this sounds familiar, then this handy player's aid is for you! Or if you're simply getting old like...
A one page form you can use to log each of your D-Day games, or, "Missions". The form is titled "D-Day Dice Missions Log". It is a 11' x 8.5" page, in PDF format and is to be printed and filled-in by hand.
The form has fields for Game Date, # Players, Scenario, Won or Lost,Last Sector Visited, Ending Resources, Points Scored, Remarks, and Variants or Specila Rules Used.
This form is useful for keeping track of your progress (or lack of) from game to game, and is a good compliment to the other excellent log sheets available in this files section.
