"This is a 2 player game of the United Nations intervention in Somalia. Conflict takes place between the United Nations player and the Bandit player, controlling 3 large factions. Each side has different political and military objectives.

"The ground scale is abstract with Somalia being divided up into regions based on the largest town in an area.

"Be sure to check out the hypothetical Dubya's war scenario Brian has designed to simulate the possible War on Terror campaign moving to Somalia."

Game variant for Somalia from 2002 that postulated that later in that year American forces, assisted by some clan militias, would conduct a brief military operation into the southern half of Somalia to root out hostile elements affiliated with Al-Qaeda.
