In Masterplan, players take turns placing houses onto a 8x8 square grid. Houses can be placed at the sides or in the corners of the squares. Whenever three houses are in a row (no matter in which colour combination), a green flat piece is placed at either end. Players who have the majority of adjacent pieces to these flat ones score at this moment. The majority depends on whether a house is placed on the line directly adjacent to this space (2 points) or at the corner (if diagonally adjacent, valued 2 points) or only on the adjacent space, but at another line or corner (1 point). Whenever a full square of houses could be build (3 houses creating an "l") a tower is placed onto the fourth space. These towers score only at the end of the game, depending on the majority around them.
