Stories about General Volkare and his Lost Legion are whispered amongst the Atlanteans – some in hope, all with at least a sliver of fear. Now with word of what appears to be Volkare and his Lost Legion reappearing and yet another new Mage Knight to contend with, the scattered forces across the land are deciding which side is likely to be victorious. Are the Mage Knights the lesser of evils, or is Volkare the true savior they have been waiting for?
Continuing the saga of the worldwide acclaimed hit Mage Knight Board Game, designer Vlaada Chvatil and WizKids present Mage Knight Board Game: The Lost Legion, an expansion that offers players a new Mage Knight — Wolfhawk — and also adds a new foe for the Mage Knights: the mysterious and powerful General Volkare! Included in the expansion set are new location tiles, enemy/ruin tokens, Unit cards, Advanced Action cards, Artifact cards, Spell cards and a rulebook expansion that features new game scenarios and rules to support play for five players.
Whether you and your fellow Mage Knights decide to work together or at cross purposes this expansion supports new play styles and tactics and a new foe that can challenge even the most veteran players.
I created for myself a reference of enemies and units.
I need it during my PBF games.
Maybe somebody find it useful too.
New version that now has Krang deck tuck box as well. Note the file is smaller due to a different compression method.
(for some reason, on some viewers the images as very small and tiled, instead of as desired -- I will try to see if I an fix this, but you might try a different viewer, specifically downloading it and opening it outside your browser).
An automated scoresheet for all Volkare scenarios based on [filepage=82516]Ashen von Ragend's Soloconquest Scoresheet[/filepage].
The scoresheet is universal for 1-4 players and for Epic/Blitz/Quest scenarios.
These are the long waited for The Lost Legion Tuck Boxes. Holmes! was kind enough to give me his original file to edit. The file was too large so I made it two files. Sorry for the inconvenience. I only edited those cards which needed it. So have the complete set go to the link below:
While setting up a game that required Volkare's level to be somewhere between 15–24, I thought there must be some formula for the number of each type of unit that will smoothly transition the difficulty level. The book mentions a couple of different ways of adding existing levels to extrapolate a higher one, each resulting in a different number of units.
I found that by dividing the desired level as evenly as possible to existing levels and adding them up, the result does not provide a smooth transition for the orcs and keep defenders, particularly between levels 45 and 46. In addition, because there are only 20 orcs in the supply, there aren't enough orcs for levels 39, 45 and higher.
So I came up with another method that holds one level component at 4 while another transitions...
