Description Edit | History

It’s like Monopoly: Roll and move. Land on an unowned property: buy it. Land on an owned property: pay money to the owner.

It’s different from Monopoly: Only one die is used. The board is rectangular, with 10 spaces between the corners on the long edges and 6 spaces between the corners on the short edges.

It’s much less than Monopoly: No color groupings, therefore no monopolies. No house/hotel improvements. No utilities. No railroads. No auctions. No mortgages.

Victory conditions: Players are eliminated when they go bankrupt. The last player with money is the winner.

More Information Edit | History

Published in the 1976 issue of Extra Special Cracked. The last 16 pages of the (perfect bound, unlabeled spine) magazine need to be removed. There is one page of rules on the back of the title page, and two pages constitute the board. The remaining (non-perforated) pages contain cards, stock certificates, and money, which need to be cut apart. Players must provide their own die and pawns. The game is printed in red and black ink on newsprint paper. The rules and currency are printed in black only.

The top of the magazine cover bears the legend “First Mighty, Laugh-Filled Collector’s Annual.” Cracked had been putting out repackaged annuals since 1965; this was merely the first bearing the title of Extra Special Cracked. The game is identified as a bonus insert, meaning it had not previously been published.

No individual credit is given. Credits for the magazine are listed as follows:
Publisher: Robert C. Sproul [founder of Cracked]
Artists: A sample of the best from pen and brush of America’s foremost humor drawers
Writers: A treasure trove of laughs by the funniest men in the world
Proafreeder [sic]: Spelling bee champion of Eastern Brooklyn
Janitor: Sylvester P. Smythe

The name of the game appears four times, and it appears differently each time.
Magazine cover: Millionaire Game
Title page of article: The Game of Millionaire
Front of board: Cracked’s Game of Millionaire
Back of board: Cracked’s Bonus Millionaire Insert
