The game, contained in Vae Victis 59 simulates the 1st French Army offensive, whose aim was to flank the Vosges from the south and take control of the Haute-Alsace.
One player takes control of the German forces and the other command the French.
The game uses the same system as Ardennes 1944 from VV48.
As usual, the games comes with a set of unmounted counters.
