This game entry refers to two nearly identical games which are not compatible with one another. Ages 6 and up.
PitchCar and Carabande are dexterity games where large, wooden, puzzle-like pieces are used to construct a race track that looks very similar to a slot car track when finished. But instead of using electrons, players use finger-flicks to send little round pucks around the track, a la Carrom.
Contents:
- Eight car discs
- Six straightaways
- Ten 90-degree curves
- Rail pieces for straights and curves
- One Start/Finish line sticker
- One rule sheet with suggested track layouts
| Carabande was produced by Goldsieber and had only the single expansion with the Action Set. Both are currently out of print. It was also produced in a special "Audi" edition, titled Rennspiel-Action. In the BGG photo gallery, Carabande has yellow/orange rails. Expanded by:

PitchCar is produced by Ferti. It currently has three expansions which add "tight" curves, crossroads, small jumps, long straightaways, 45-degree curves, and curved bottlenecks. PitchCar apparently also has two editions, where the first edition has the black laminate on the top and bottom of the track pieces, where the second edition only has the laminate on the top of the track pieces. PCTB Base and Ext No. Tracks

Enclosed are the data files (.trk's) for tracks for PitchCar's Base Set to be used with TrackBuilder 1.1. The files are named Base Set 1 through 10 with two variations on track 9 (Base Set 9.1.trk and Base Set 9.2.trk). Enjoy!

A drag-and-drop building utility for PitchCar, Carabande and their expansion sets.
Changes from previous version:
* Added Carabande, Carabande Action Set, and PitchCar Stunt Race pieces
* Added the ability to build with multiple sets
* Added the ability to annotate tracks anywhere
* Added the ability to import bitmap files into your tracks
* Added some customization of helper objects
Since this was re-built, the program requires MS GDI+. These files are installed automatically with XP and Vista. Older versions can download the GDI+ files from Microsoft - the user guide explains this. Mac users will need to be creative, and even then I don't know if it will run. My understanding is that previous versions will run on a Mac using Wine.
