Hey folks:
Some of you have my old board game Black Death. Well, in a few weeks I
hope to release the downloadable version. This is going to be an
"assemble it yourself" project that will give you an end product that
looks like any other store-bought board game (but without the box).
The sample file is at:
http://www.btrc.net/files/btrc6001sample.pdf
Putting it together will be a little work, but even taking that into
account, you will only be paying half of what you would for a normal
boxed game (the pdf will be about $8, and you'll spend a few more $ in
time and materials). I've made a couple prototypes to test the pdfs
out and it's -gorgeous-. It's German-game quality. I'll try to take an
"assembled product photo" in a few days and add it to the demo file.
I expect the game will be released in a few weeks. For those who want
to minimize their assembly time, I can run off the components on a
color laser printer and snail mail them to people for final assembly
(glossy maps, pre-perfed game cards, self-adhesive sheets for
counters, etc.). The cost of this is up in the air, but will only be
my materials, time and postage cost (once I figure that out).
When I get a product page up on RPGnow for "wish list" purposes, I'll
let you know.
