First published by Metagaming in 1975 (later in box form in 1979), this is a classic 4X (eXplore, eXploit, eXpand, eXterminate) board game. Can be adapted for more than four players with extra sets of pieces. It is also fairly easy to replace the deck of stars with random generation tables.

Improved colony record sheets. Make many copies, cut each into three, and use one sheet per colony. In the unfortunate case of a conquest, you canjust handover the whole sheet.
