Description

[Edit] [History]

Widely accepted as the first mainstream wargame. Players are given tons of little army units to place onto the map of the world. When it's your turn, you use your units to attack other players' positions, hopefully with superior numbers. Combat is a simple dice rolling affair that stresses attrition, and reinforcements are given to players who collect sets of cards.

0 Zombie RISK Rules
Risk-Zombies.doc
There are several versions of Zombie/Undead RISK. After playing one version of Zombie RISK, I felt the need to combine and add to existing rules for Zombie RISK. I have attempted to duplicate a standard game instruction manual to blend nicely with an existing copy of RISK. My hope is that the rules will simulate the thrill of zombie movies and the frustration of fighting overwhelming odds. I have included rules and optional rules that I feel incorporate materials and rules found in all standard versions of RISK, including the new Revised edition. Enjoy!
2 Risk cards for the Giant World Map of risk w/232 countries
Risk cards.ppt
All the cards that will be needed for use with the Giant World map of Risk that was originally created by Sklar. I have put together the PPT file for all the country cards that will be needed for playing this map. The last slide is for the backs of the cards.
1 The rest of RISK II
RISK II all you need.zip
This includes a printable chart of the RISK II dice thresholds (i.e., white die when 1-5 armies, yellow when 6-10, etc.), instructions on how to create RISK II dice (they are not numbered simply from 1-12, but instead have 1-6 in different quantities), and a list of everything needed to play a game of RISK II.
1 RISK II maps
RISK II maps.zip
The large map is approximately 20x16 and is for playing. It is not terribly attractive, but it's functional and is the best I could do. The smaller map is to be printed on 8.5x11 paper for diplomatic conferences away from the board, if players choose to play that way. I would be happy if someone designed a better map.
2 RISK II cards - front and back
RISK II cards - front and back.zip
Print the fronts on cardstock, then flip your pages over and print the backs. Piece of cake and makes nice and simple cards.
2 RISK II (aka Same Time Risk) rules for the board
RISK II Rules adapted for the board.doc
These are the rules for Same Time Risk, clarified and expanded. If there are any flaws or needed clarifications, please let me know.
