Description Edit | History

Widely accepted as the first mainstream wargame. Players are given tons of little army units to place onto the map of the world. When it's your turn, you use your units to attack other players' positions, hopefully with superior numbers. Combat is a simple dice rolling affair that stresses attrition, and reinforcements are given to players who collect sets of cards.

This is a compendium of strategy tips gleaned from the official Risk rule books, 1959 through 2003, and the current (2010) Hasbro Risk 2008 website.

1 Nuclear Devastation Risk
This is a simple way to play Risk with nuclear weapons! I've compiled this variant from these sources: "Devastation Risk" and "Nuclear Risk". There is no working contact link to either site that I could find, so I'm assuming they won't hate me too much for using their content. I've enjoyed it and wanted to make it available to everyone here at the Geek to enjoy, too. :)

1 Risk: Added Depth
Risk with added strategic depth for use with 1993 edition rules and game board. Includes rules for resource coins, cities, capitols, fortresses, and naval fleets. Pictures of added components and descriptions of where they were obtained are included. Naval rules borrow heavily from Risk Edition Napoleon, but are not identical.

0 Risk Cards Storage Box
Bit map image of a template to make a storage box for your Risk Cards. Scale in MS Word or any photo editor program and print on heavy card stock. Cut out, gently fold sides to form rough box shape, glue along the seam (area marked "glue") and press together. Allow glue to dry, place cards inside, and fold openings on both ends closed. Press along outside edges of the box to improve and sharpen the crease.

1 The Missions of "Risk II"
This is all the mission that I have identified. Some missions was a bit "alterated" in order to work as a board game, for example changing the name of a particular Player (or General), for the color of the respective army. But, beside that, all the missions all original shown by the computer on the PC game of Risk II. I hope you like it... see yaaa

9 Zombie RISK Rules
RISK: Damn Zombies Rules and Chart - This is an improved Random Territory Selection Chart for RISK variants. The chart is based on a territory's number of defensible borders (the number of territories opponents can attack from) and dice probabilities. The higher the number of defensible borders the greater the chance of being selected. Enjoy!
