Lock 'n Load: Band of Heroes is a tactical board game tour de force that covers the battles of America's airborne troops during June of 1944. The second complete module in Mark H. Walker's Lock 'N Load: Forgotten Heroes – Vietnam game system, Band of Heroes includes a bucket full of new weapons, squads, and vehicles, including U.S. Airborne, German SS, and Fallschirmjager troops, Tiger, Sherman, Stuart, and PzIIIJ tanks, and MG42, MG34, and M1919A4 machine guns. But the scenarios are the selling point, and this batch of sixteen tells the story of the men from the 101st and 82nd Airborne Divisions fighting the Germans in the Norman hedgerows during June of 1944.
6 mounted maps
480+ beautiful counters, counters, representing the men and equipment from the 82nd, 101st, 17th SS Panzergrenadier, 6th Fallschirmjager, 91st Airlanding, and 352nd Infantry Divisions
16 Skill Cards, providing Leaders and Heroes with special abilities.
This package contains all the maps from Lock 'n Load Band of Heroes without the white halo around the hexes. Only the first edition game had the maps this way. So if you dislike the white halo effect on the map hexes then these maps are for you.
There are a total of six maps included. Each map is has been broken into two parts to allow them to be printed off of a home printer.
This is a reformatting of Olivier Revenu (crabe tambour)'s intro scenario "Bloody Crossroad" (crossroad.pdf) into the Band of Heroes 2.0 look. Latest: Fixed a typo that had lived through from the first version, changed the presentation of St Mere Eglise so it matches the way the base game scenarios spell it (though I couldn't help myself and added a missing diacritical mark), and added a line of text about victory conditions (I presume it matches the intent).
A reminder sheet for some of those 1 line rules that can get forgotten or take a while to look up. Intended as a quick familiarisation for anyone returning to the game after a gap or to help new players with the learning curve. Updated file to include the clarifications raised by Vance
As a big fan of both ATS and Panzer, I thought it would be helpful to create individual ordnance cards for the vehicles, guns and SWs for LnL BoH (and expansions).
Although there are several awesome reference sheets included here on BGG, I prefer to limit the number of full sheets of paper that need to be referenced.
These cards were designed to be printed on Avery Ink Jet Business Card (#8376) stock.
In 8.1.2, replaced:
Ordnance weapon when firing on infantry units, use its
maximum range shown in the To Hit Table.
Ordnance weapons can only fire within the maximum range shown in its To-Hit Table.
This is an updated complete map and some scenarios from the 1997 Critical Hit Scenario Pack of the same name. This work is intended for the owners of both games and is not intended as an infringement on any copyright. All information and maps are also available through public domain on the internet.
The map included is just a preview map on a PDF. The actual map is available at this link:http://www.mediafire.com/?2xgu6baem1k5zg2
The full map (90+mb) is set to three ledger sheets with a half hex overlap at one inch hexes. I printed mine at Staples for about $3 a sheet.
I believe that all counters listed are availble from the Band of Heroes box except for one from the Heroes of the Blitzkrieg (French S-35).
Please let me know what you think and if you want to see the remainder...
