|
You use dice to represent armies of different fantasy races and monsters which battle to control essential pieces of terrain. Any number of players can share in this struggle, although it's normally only 2 players. The first player to capture two terrains immediately wins the game. You might use spells for certain kind of armies to get better attacks or defense.
UPDATE: New two-player starter sets, including completely rewritten rules, will be released in early 2007. The rules are available online at the link below. The new starter sets will have paired racial armies, not random assortments like the original starters, plus four terrain dice, two dragons, the complete rulebook, and new army cards. Race pairs will be Coral Elf/Lava Elf, Dwarf/Goblin, and Amazon/Swamp Stalker.
