Description Edit | History

In the distant world of Laar wandering armies, led by powerful magicians live a life of battle. For eons they fought for survival in this world, once scorched by fires of the Cataclysm. Now you have the chance to gather your own army and become the maker of your own fate. Perhaps, your path will shape the fate of Laar as well... In fierce battles your life and lives of your trusted armies will only depend on your skill of a strategist and a warlord. And then, when in the heat of battle you will once forget about your wounds, about the future and about the past - you will understand why this is not simply a game. It is Berserk.

More Information Edit | History

It was a regular day in Russia in the summer of 1996, when my friend and I -- Russian college kids -- thought about drawing some monsters. We drew them on cards (which at that time were not at all collectible). We were quite slow - three or four monster per month!

Time passed... Cold winter of 1996 gave us time to sit down and think about some rules for our monsters - there were already 20 or so. And this is how Berserk was born!

It did not have that name at that time, but it was Berserk and we (along with a few of our friends) played it like you play it now. We tested the game for many years, dreaming about how one day we will print it and how we will have many fans... There are over 100,000 people playing it in Russia now.

So, in 2003 we put together all of the money we had and printed the first set of Berserk -- Battle of Realms. You can see some of the monsters that I -- Maxim Istomin -- and my best friend -- Ivan Popov -- drew in 1996:
- Cyclops
- Thunder God
- Chaos Lord
- Ancient Ogre
- Arbalister
- and some others...

They are not the best artwork but then we never were professional artists! Since then, our game has become the most popular TCG in Russia, and we are about to release our 9th Edition.

In addition an online game was created based on the card version. Now it exists in several languages:
