The human race has long since outgrown their home galaxy, and the need to expand is great. Outposts are being built at the outskirts of the known universe. As Commanders in the Terran Federation, you and your opponents are charged with exploring the space surrounding the Terra Prime outpost, the first of its kind. Find and colonize nearby planets, protect the colonies from hostile aliens, and harvest the resources they produce.
Gain Leadership by placing colonies, delivering resources to Terra Prime for shipment back to Earth, and driving off or befriending hostile aliens. The value of colonies and the resources they produce increases the farther away from Terra Prime you get, but so do the dangers of exploration and the likelihood of alien attack.
