1939. The German war machine starts steamrolling over Europe. Earth and sky are aflame with battles. It’s the dawn of the largest war fought by mankind, and supremacy in the air can mean victory or defeat.
The WW2 series of Wings of War is an easy, fun to play, fast and furious system which previous fans of the game will be able to start playing minutes after opening the box! New game mechanics support a simulation which must encompass planes with very different flight capabilities and firepower, while still keeping the flow of the combat simple as it is in the WW1 series. The innovations to maneuver cards and to the fire deck system provide all the needed historical accuracy with no headaches to the players!
“Dawn of War” is the first set in the new series of Wings of War games, which will allow you to re-create dogfights, bombing missions, escorts, and endless other aerial combat situations set in World War Two. Including fighter planes from the first years (1939-1941) of the war, but also used later in the conflict, “Dawn of War” provides the foundation for a new, exciting evolution of the Wings of War system. Pilot a Spitfire, a Messerschmitt, a Hurricane, a Wildcat, a Zero... Up to 6 planes can fly with the contents of this set, for scenarios with 2 to 6 players.
I changed the original a little.. if think this one is better! Why not write down the pilots name you just shoot down instead of just mark a kill! Enjoy!

This pdf contains templates for card boxes to be printed on A4 sized heavy paper (I used 250g/m² paper).
It includes boxes for the two base sets (Dawn of War and Fire from the Sky) as well as the add-ons (Flying Legend and Eagles of the Reich) and additional maneuver decks from the miniatures. Basically for all cards I already have.
To help my ageing eyes, I created those "data rulers", which one can simply print on a sticker paper, stick on cardboard and cut out.
Then place appropriate ruler next to the airplane console.
I used graphics at the maximum, so that these rulers are not language dependent.
They cover the following products : DOW, FftS, EotR, FL.
If I am not too lazy, I will include the Revolution and Last Biplanes in the file some day...
2 Zero's vs. 2 Wildcats somewhere near Midway Island...
2nd Game Turn. This is a trial run to cut our teeth on the PBEM environment. Bigger furballs to follow...

A pair of simple reference cards for the Wings of War rules. They are lined up on PDFs so you can print them double sided on one sheet, or as two separate cards. Of course they are sized especially to fit in the original Wings of War box without any folding.
The reference cards include comprehensive sections for Special Damage, Optional rules, and all Altitude rules including climb and ceiling data for the base set Dawn of World War II, Flying Legends, and Eagles of the Reich.
Please note Ace rules, and ground rules (landing, takeoff, bombing, strafing) are not included.
