1861 is an 18xx variant set in Russia. This is a game with a very limited print run; with only 300 copies intended for North American distribution. 1861's defining characteristics include: 16 minor companies that are put up for auction during stock rounds, minors having the opportunity to merge or convert in to major corporations, and a non-player controlled government railway.
Players are encouraged to use the guidelines in this document to help playing the game;
however it should be very clear that by no means the present document overrides the official
game rules or any future clarification released by the designer or the publishers.
The tables are compiled from the Rules Book and the Game Board. I find having the Tables useful when playing by email (PBEM). (All entries are in my own words.)
