18IR is currently in development (playtest phase). It is a 18xx game set in Netherlands (yes, one more).
It is intended to be a light and simple game, close to 18FL, well suited to beginners.
Mc Guffins:
- limited number of rounds (the game ends after 15 rounds)
- during forced train purchase, the director may elect not to help the Company to buy one train. The company is then declared bankrupt.
- two tiles per turn (2 yellows or 1 yellow and 1 upgrade).
- 5-trains scrap 3-trains
- trains are not too expensive (most expensive is 600 Fl.)
- linear stock market
- new shares are placed in the company treasury.
It is still in the early playtest phase, so it is likely that some rules and designs will improve/change in the coming months.
