Description Edit | History

Piecepack is to board games what a Standard Deck of Playing Cards is to card games. It is a set of components that can be used to play many games. Included in each set are tiles to build the board, allowing for boards of various shapes and sizes, coins in varying suits and values, dice in suits and values, and player pawns.

See Piecepack Game System for a detailed look at the system and its games.

Thus far, over 100 games have been developed for piecepack sets, and since it is an open-source type system, new games appear frequently.

The other interesting thing is that piecepack sets are public domain. Anyone can make one, even for profit, without paying any sort of royalties of any kind. It is generally requested that they conform to some standard dimensions, but otherwise, they are free to make and sell.

The suggested Piecepack dimensions make them compatible with Looney Pyramids.

2 Very Colorful Piecepack Cards
These are the companion cards to my Very Colorful Piecepack Set. These have letters, pips, & arrows added. I thought they might aid in game design. There are 24 cards & 2 jokers. The cards are just a fold over & glue design. This is the Basic set part 2 from 6 to king.

2 Very Colorful Piecepack Hexes
These are companion hexes for my set. As one of the complaints about the hexpack is lack of tiles I decided to make 14 per suit from null to king to match the cards. I added Icehouse style pips & terrain symbols. These are the suits Suns, Fleurs, Moons & Crowns.

3 Very Colorful Piecepack Version 2
This is my new version 2. This has 7 tiles null to 6 plus letters & arrows. These match the cards better than the original set. This is a high color set. This has the suits of hearts, spades, diamonds, & clubs.
