The Gathering Storm is the first expansion for Race for the Galaxy and adds new cards, an additional player, goals to compete over, as well as solitaire and drafting rules. It also includes some blank cards for players to make their own cards.
The new cards include four start worlds, three 6-cost developments, two other new developments (and one duplicate development), five military worlds and six non-military worlds (including a replacement gambling world). Goals consist of ‘First Goals’, which reward the first player to achieve an objective with 3 extra VP, and ‘Most Goals’ reward the player with the most developments, military or certain types of worlds. An extra set of player cards and VP chips allows for a 5th player, and a robot template, dice, and chits allows for a solitaire game. Finally drafting rules provide a different way of playing the game for 2 or 3 players.
A simple table with starting world to play with The Gathering Storm expansion. Roll a 10 face dice and select the starting world. Use a print copy of the start worlds and let the originals in the deck.
A simpler robot: it doesn't receive cards or create its own tableau, and its score is more predictable. The player chooses his actions (green cubes in the picture below), rolls the dice for the robot's action selections, advances three markers on a table, then plays his turn as normal. At the end of the round he checks to see if the game ends and, if it does, computes the robot's score.
PDF Score sheets to record the results of your solo RftG TGS games using game iconography. I included four different styles. The oversize version will only fit in the game box if you fold it in half. The other two versions will fit in the game box if you cut along the black border.
If you print the sheets double-sided, they should line up almost perfectly.
I don't have expansion #2 or #3, so I don't know if there are any scoring changes that would make these invalid for solo games using those expansions.
Any comments or feedback are welcome, especially if have ideas to improve these files.

How to set up your iOS device (Ipod Touch, Iphone, or Ipad) to run a goal randomizer utility for use when playing Race For The Galaxy.
NOTE: While setup instructions are in English, the application itself doesn't have to be. You may provide foreign names for the goals based on your langauge preference, or simply provide no name and go only off the images of the goal tiles.
Use this self created utility as an alternative to shuffling the goal tiles and randomly picking out 4 and 2 first and most goals respectively. Saves wear and tear on your goal tiles. You will need to download and install a freeware app called "Starting Player", and do some minor setup. Please read the "README for RftG goal randomizer" file included in the zipfile for details and instructions.
