More Information Edit | History

The Portable Galactic Empire is a space empire board game in the model of the classic 4x (explore, expand, exploit, exterminate), turn based computer games. The board is created from cards as part of regular play by the players. Players control star systems, planets, industries on the planets and great space fleets. Options also exist to create technology to increase the power of those fleets.

Victory is achieved by being the first player to build or capture 5 monuments. The monuments function as a key to both victory and domination of the other players. Mechanics include card play, dice rolling, resource collection and spending. Experienced players can easily complete a game in under 2 hours.
