The forest is filled with all sorts of Monsters. They watched and waited as you built your Castle and trained your soldiers, but now they’ve gathered their army and are marching out of the woods.
Can you work with your friends to defend your Castle against the horde, or will the Monsters tear down your Walls and destroy the precious Castle Towers? You will all win or lose together, but in the end only one player will be declared the Master Slayer!
Castle Panic is a cooperative, light strategy game for 1 to 6 players ages 10 and up.
Players must work together to defend their castle, in the center of the board, from monsters that attack out of the forest, at the edges of the board. Players trade cards, hit and slay monsters, and plan strategies together to keep their castle towers intact. The players either win or lose together, but only the player with the most victory points is declared the Master Slayer. Players must balance the survival of the group with their own desire to win.
The game includes:
49 Castle Cards
49 Monster Tokens ( see Token set )
1 Tar Token
2 Fortify Tokens
6 Order of Play Cards
12 Plastic Stands
A one pager (printed front to back) for quick access to easily forgotten monster token rules. Especially useful for bosses and tokens that do not have printed icons. This cheat sheet allows me to keep all three rulesets in the box during gameplay.
Includes a cheat sheet for Support tokens, Cavalier, and reminders on burning structure/monsters (on back page)
It prints just a hair too big to fit back in the box (without folding), so I suggest you scale it down to 90%-95% when you go to print!
This is just a little chart I made to help sort out which monster tokens you need to put in the draw bag depending on which expansion(s) you are using. Includes new monsters from The Dark Titan expansion. First file upload, so be kind.
Here are images/icons of each component within the Castle Panic base game. I use these as an add on to my labels for my baggies, but you could also use these in Plano boxes, Tuck Boxes, or where ever else you see fit. Use them as you please.
Geeklist to other games I have completed:
A score track to help count the points on real time (and for you make jokes of your friends). But, take care, they can sabotage the game and the monsters will not miss this chance to destroy the castle.
This is Castle Panic Token Set 3. Instead of monsters there are expanded abilities and perks for the monsters. For the defender there are a set of tokens that they can buy. Instead of making cards up I think it's easier to create tokens and purchase the token. It's harder to print up and mix cards seamlessly into a "real" deck.
Minor changes to file and rule clarifications.
