Battle for Glyderion (2009)

This is a fun game of dexterity action balanced by tactics. Each side has a force made up of poker chips which represent units in their armies. A smooth playing surface is necessary, as you flick the chips to move and attack with your forces. You must use strategy and skill to defeat your opponent. Each unit has its own strengths and weaknesses - from multiple flicks per turn to immunities against other unit types.

It is up to you to use your Infantry, Walls, Catapults and other forces effectively to win the day.

There are a range of scenarios which can take from 5 minutes to an hour to play.
Traps and magical effects are represented by static poker chips placed on the board.

Designer Notes:
A friend has Pitchcar and I have enjoyed many games whenever we get together. The dexterity aspect really appeals to me. It is so simple but requires some skill. Unfortunately, as it is HIS game, I couldn't share this with my other friends.
Then I read a review for Jeremiah Lee's 'Flickago'. I suddenly realized, I could build my own flicking game.
I didn't want the trouble of a specific board (any old table or floor would do), so the rules would require interaction between the playing pieces. I am miniature wargamer from way back, so Medieval Fantasy was the genre I went for.

After some trial and error (and a lot of playtesting different rules with my Nephews) this is the result.
