Description Edit | History

One Thousand Milestones. On French roads there are small marker stones giving the distance in kilometres to the next town. In this famous old French card game, players compete to drive 1000 km, dealing with hazards along the way. Draw a card to your hand, play or discard. You must lay a green traffic light to start, play cards showing mileage, dump hazards (flat tire, speed limit) on the other players, remedy hazards (spare tire, end of limit) from yourself, play safety cards (puncture proof), and try to be the first to clock up the distance.

More Information Edit | History

When the Dujardin Company released the 1st edition of this game in the 1950's, they added for promotional reasons a black-and-white printed voucher with the game. If you sent 4 of these vouchers to the company, you got a high-quality enamel keyring, fixed onto a black lizard-structured leather plate for free. They came in a small cardboard box with some notes from the designing artist.

Later on they released another keyring, this time in silver-metal-design with another 1000 Bornes logo embedded.

Both items are desirable additions for the ambitious game collector.

0 Mille Bornes rules quicky for two players
This handy two-sided reference sheet should be everything you need to set-up and play a two-player game (assuming you already know the rules). Print on a piece of card stock, trim to 4"x6", and it should fit right in your game box.
