Can you keep up with Farmer Jones?

In this rummy-style game, two players collect sets of animal cards to build their farms. Winning is not so simple as just having the biggest farm at the end, however. During each round, the animals are periodically scored, and whichever player has the most animals of the type being scored earns points. The leader in each animal can easily change from turn to turn, but players can manipulate the timing and value of the scoring to ensure that they come out ahead.

After the 3rd round, the game ends and the player with the most points is the winner.

Design Contest - Themed Rummy Contest Judged by Mike Fitzgerald - Entries .

It is partially based on the dice game The Livestock Market.

The game was awarded a "Judge's Prize" for a non-winning entry deemed worthy of special recognition for merit.

Game Board

A game board usable instead of the 4 tracker cards. I simply printed it on a full page sticker (sizing the image to 26cm wide). I then cut out the token images from the white area and stuck onto wooden counters. The board image itself was trimmed and stuck onto 2 11.7cm card squares, thus creating the center hinge. Using card that size allows the green bleed area to wrap around the edges of the board.

Includes two versions. Use the unlined version if printing directly onto the backs of the cards. Use the lined version if you're printing the backs separately and adhering them to the fronts.
