This expansion adds 4 new start worlds, 5 goals, 44 game cards, and rules for galactic prestige. New solitaire game counters and drafting rules for six players are also provided.
Each round the player(s) with the most prestige earn an additional victory point and possibly a card. Each prestige is worth one victory point at the end of the game, and many of the new cards allow prestige to be spent (for victory points, cards, or other effects). Additionally, a new "once-per-game" action is introduced that allows the user to search the deck for a card meeting a specific stated requirement, or to enhance the bonus the user earns in a round (at the cost of one prestige).
I need to look up the rules for prestige every time I pull the game down after a few months, so I have finally written a reminder sheet for myself. I find the original prestige rules to be written in a slightly confusing way, so please let me know if what I have written here is wrong, or if there are any typos!
Should be in Excel 2013 file, but should still work more or less fine with any other version of Excel or spreadsheet software. Editing allows you to sort by columns, and also tailor the sheet to suit your own needs. Please not cell comments via mouse over.
A thorough and detailed step-by-step script of Race for the Galaxy, covering all expansions.
* Fixed timing of start powers (Ancient Race, Galactic Scavengers)
* Added some clarifications
* Some minor edits
This is a roughly modified version of roxon's fantastic TGS Color Coded Card Reference. It's what i use as my all-purpose RftG card reference. Mods:
1) BoW picture links & BGG image codes (incl. Goals);
2) BoW cards (no detailed descriptions);
3) pre-set starting hands identified by number;
4) basic stats on number of unique worlds/etc.;
Note: printing alignment is most likely screwed up, as i went from XLS->ODS->XLS.
