Panzer Grenadier: Edelweiss (2003)

From the Arctic to Crete, from the Caucasus to Norway, Germany's mountain troops fought on almost all fronts. Now you can add these elite troops to your Panzer Grenadier games, with 24 new scenarios. This module includes 70 standard-sized counters with mountain and bicycle troops and unusual vehicles like the French-made H38 and S35 tanks in German service. And Waffen SS counters appear for the first time in the Panzer Grenadier series. There are also four "double-sized" special counters included, with two Soviet river gunboats and two gigantic German siege mortars, the formidable "Karl."

Edelweiss is now sold exclusively via PDF download. The playing pieces are not die-cut and mounted, nor is the scenario book printed. Instead it comes as a series of .pdf files that will need to be assembled into the game's components.

Edelweiss Expanded Edition is now available (2007) with 8 new scenarios added to the original 24 (re-worked) scenarios. 77 counters plus the 4 double-sized ones. Printing is similar to BLUE DIVISION and RED WARRIORS suppplements.
