Description Edit | History

A Diskwars variant for fighting space battles in the Star Trek universe. Cardboard disks are used as miniatures to represent space ships, crew, and technology.

More Information Edit | History

This, well-loved, but short-lived game was published by Last Unicorn Games in 2000. The game was patterned after Fantasy Flight Games popular DiskWars line. Game pieces were punched out of "flats" and used as table-top playing pieces.

Last Unicorn was purchased by Wizards of the Coast around the time they lost their Star Trek license to Decipher, and so the publishing of Red Alert came to an end. A planned second set of disks was never released, but it was made available for free online.

A small, but dedicated, band of players continues to play Red Alert. There is still a Yahoo Group dedicated to collecting, trading, and playing...
