These custom made cards use images from the films and the templates for the The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game by user GeckoTH to use with the rules and system laid out by user bobbypen. As he mentioned, these are used to play a Lord of the Rings fantasy wargame using the system featured in Memoir 44, Battlelore, and Command & Colors games by Richard Borg, with the components of the LOTR RISK Trilogy Edition Board Game.
I recommend sleeving them with the Art Sleeves - The One Ring, Unlimited Edition, LOTR Card Game Sleeves by Fantasy Flight. Product Code FFS68. These cards are best used with the purple dice from Battlelore 2nd edition board game by Fantasy Flight.
I got this idea from Star Wars Risk - Clone Wars Edition. I really liked the way they helped the flow of the game, so I thought it would be beneficial to make some for the Lord of the Rings version of the game as well.
A 3 page PDF for Risk: Lord of the Rings - Trilogy Edition. It is the complete setup and rules, but not exhaustive or repetitive. I use it when explaining the game to a group of people. It assumes that you have the instruction booklet for reference.
If you have the Trilogy, and would like to play the the shorter original, this file can be used to cover up the bottom third of the Trilogy gameboard.
Print the file to a 8.5x11 sheet, and enlarge by 129% to a 11x17 sheet on a photocopier. Then trim the left and top edges to fit over Gondor, Mordor and Haradwaith leaving room for the battle area.
