Description Edit | History

Whistling Death is the third game in J D Webster's WWII Fighting Wings series, developing the earlier Over the Reich and Achtung Spitfire games. Containing 110 scenarios (that's one hundred ten, folks!) ranging from flight training (3), introductory air combat (5), air-to air combat (58), air-to-ground (4), air-naval (32), and mission level (8). It features 40 distinctive aircraft and numerous ship types. The only facet of the war in the Pacific missing from this game is ground support.

3 Ki.44-IIc "Tojo" third edition ADC
This was the JAAF's primary single-engine interceptor in 1944 and 1945. Many years ago I did an ADC for this in the Air Power Newsletter. Since then I have collected much better information on the plane. This ADC replaces the old newsletter ADC. The type saw a lot of action in China and in the Philippines and over Japan.

16 latest version Quick start rules, QS 3.5.1, Aug 2010
Fighting Wings QS Rules 3.5.1 are the latest edition, replacing set 3.1. These rules are consistent with the upcoming full rules changes that will be in third edition FW rules. There are only a few, mainly minor, but important limitations and additions made between this and the earlier QS 3.1 rules.
