In Star Trek [Deck Building Game]: The Next Generation, players take on the role of Captain of a salvaged Starship. They will search for new allies such as Picard, Data, and other famous Characters. They will Explore space to complete Missions, Encounter Events, and meet Starships that could be friend or foe.
The game features three separate scenarios of play:
Explorations [Free For All]: Explore Space to complete Missions, Encounter Events, and Engage Starships.
Borg Invasion [Cooperative]: The Borg have come to Assimilate you and everything you know. Band together with your fellow Captains to defend your world and fend off the Borg.
Klingon Civil War [Teams]: A rift in power has been created in the Klingon Empire. Form an alliance, gather support, and defeat your enemies to obtain control of the Empire.
The goal of each game varies. While some simply require a point threshold, another game's goal might be to simply survive.
These basic playmats were developed based on the layout of Nersi Nikakhtar’s excellent LCARS playmats (located on BGG at http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/75297/star-trek-deck-building-game-play-mats-v1-0) and they have been uploaded with Nersi’s permission.
These playmats just use basic lines with a white background rather than Nersi's LCARS design. There are colors for 5 different players and the Starbase/Space Deck playmat.
Reversible card dividers for Star Trek: The Deck Building Game and the Next Phase expansion. Print on cardstock, trim the white stuff, fold and glue.
Some might consider this a bare minimum set of dividers. I decided that I didn't want separate dividers for each set of starter cards or each type of character card. Ensigns, Lieutenants, and Commanders all go behind one divider. However, there are separate sets of dividers for the Next Phase expansion, so you can store them in separate boxes if you want. The index tabs are color-coded to approximate the border color of the cards.
This is the same version as the original board file but contains a white background instead of a black one. This is more ink-friendly, while the original version gives a more LCARS-themed appearance.
This file contains images that, when printed and assembled, make LCARS-themed mats for the Star Trek Deck Building Game. Each mat has printed areas for storing, displaying, playing, and discarding cards, which will make it easier for you and other players to keep track of the cards in play.
Each player mat measures 10.5 x 15 inches. The Starbase Game Board mat measures 15 x 21 inches. The mats are each broken into smaller pieces that should be printed, cut out, and assembled according the instructions below to make a folding mat for use in the game. Each individual mat piece is 7.5 x...
I was bummed to see that this game comes without dividers, so I threw together my own. Print these at actual size, cut them out, fold them over (they're intended to be double sided), and laminate. My first attempt at making custom dividers, feedback appreciated!
