Ruth Thompson is an artist known for her fantasy art. In 1996, she received her first book cover contract. Her artwork has been featured in fantasy games, card games, and many major publications and has been used by game companies such as Wizards of the Coast, TSR, Steve Jackson Games, and Iron Crown Enterprises.

Note: This person should not be confused with Ruth Plumly Thompson (1891 - 1976), the American writer best known for continuing the Land of Oz series after L. Frank Baum died.
