Clara Suetens

Clara Suetens, (1951) worked for seven years as a researcher in Sociology and Political Philosophy at the University of Leuven (Belgium). However, she could never quite shake off her early love and passion for the arts. So she decided to dive in at the deep end and went to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, where she gained a masters degree in Graphic Design. Since then she has worked as a freelance illustrator for different publishing houses. She also gives lectures in the History of Art at the Artesis Hogeschool in Antwerp. She has two fine sons and one darling granddaughter, Laura, who is two years old and a goldmine of inspiration.
