John Pomeroy is the artist who provided the box cover artwork for the wargame Eagles of the Empire: Napoleon in the Desert with his painting The Battle of the Pyramids -- 21st July 1798. This person should not be confused with Baron Antoine-Jean Gros (1771-1835) who painted a painting with the same name.
