Otto Pech (1882 - 1950)

German artist from Altenburg who signed his works "Pix". Was responsible for creating the iconic "Schwarzer Peter" in 1926 and much of the classic art for Altenburg Stralsunder Spielkartenfabriken (ASS) playing cards.

Known as a Skatmaler (which means he designed and illustrated Skat cards).
