David Howell is a game designer and author from Seattle, Washington. He is known for co-writing and co-editing "The Primal Order," the first game from Wizards of the Coast, and being the production manager for Magic: The Gathering. He also was appointed to found a book publishing department for Wizards of the Coast. He left the company in 1995 and later worked with James Ernest at Cheapass Games.
