Rudi Hoffmann (August 30, 1924 - July 18, 2008) was a game designer from Germany who was born in Hoexter, North Rhine-Westphalia. He began working as a game designer in 1964.

He is the father of fellow game designer Guido Hoffmann.

He died in Bensheim, a city in southern Hesse, on July 18, 2008, at the age 83.

He'll be missed.
