Tom A. Oleson is a game designer who along with Spanish game designer J. Ramírez founded the game company TYR which was derived from their names Tom Y Ramírez. In 1975, his wife Manuela Oleson wrote the article "A Study of Wargamers" for the publication "The General". He won the WBC tournament in 1991 and 1997 for his classic wargame Anzio.
He and his wife have been living in Gig Harbor, Washington.
