John Milo "Mike" Ford (April 10, 1957 - September 25, 2006) was an American game designer who was born in East Chicago, Indiana. He is better known as a science fiction and fantasy writer and poet. Upon his death, popular writers Robert Jordan and Neil Gaiman called him as "the best writer." He wrote GURPS role-playing books for Steve Jackson Games and Star Trek manuals along with the Star Trek book The Final Reflection where he described Klin Zha, a chess-like game played by Klingons.
