Rene Soriano (born c.1930) is a semi-retired game designer from Beverly, Massachusetts. Soriano has been a game designer and inventor for Parker Brothers and a creative projects manager for Hasbro/Parker Brothers. Soriano along with Eddy Goldfarb invented Battling Tops and the classic game Kerplunk.
Soriano is quoted as saying, "(The game) business is a business that nobody should go into as a day job. The odds of success are phenomenally against you."
Note: This person is believed to be a different person than Lorena Soriano, a role-playing game artist.
