Pitt Crandlemire is a game designer from Massachusetts who is the co-designer of the popular party game Smarty Party! and the limited edition dexterity/set collection game Meeple Fling!.

He is also a well-known freelance writer on games; having written for Games Games Games, The Boardgamer, The Diplomatic Pouch, The Opinionated Gamers, and others. Additionally, he has translated many rulesets for "euro" games and has served as the in-house translator for Schmidt Spiele and Sphinx Spiele.

He is the organizer of LobsterTrap, a 5-day, invitation-only (~100 attendees) gaming event held in greater Boston around Veteran's Day each year, as well as co-organizer of Unity Games, a 1-day, open-to-the-public (~500 attendees) gaming event held the weekend before the Super Bowl each year, also in greater Boston.

He is also an avid gamer and, in addition to casual and social gaming, enjoys competitive gaming. His accomplishments include Diplomacy World Champion in 1996. He was Gangsters Champion at the World Boardgaming Championships in 1999, 2000, and 2003. He also holds the dubious title of perennial bridesmaid at WBC in Facts in Five, having finished second in 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2002 (not to mention 4th in 1999).
