Abraham Nathanson (November 26, 1929 - June 6, 2010) was a game designer, graphic artist, and photographer from Cranston, Rhode Island. He designed the game Bananagrams along with his daughter Rena Nathanson, wanting to create a game as a quicker form of the game Scrabble. "We need an anagrams game so fast, it'll drive you bananas," he declared one day. Bananagrams was named "Game of the Year" at the 2009 Toy Fair.
