Let me present myself, since I am on Boardgame geek anyway.
Since 2003 I create board games. I love to create a new reality which you can almost touch and add innovative elements in a game. I enjoy games with: agonizing decisions, dynamic game play and variation, compact game play (not too many exceptions, logical rules) and a nice theme and dito illustrations/graphics.
My first game was De Ontembare Stad (2004), which won the Dutch Game Prize. Other games you might know from me are Opera (2009), Skyline of the World (2005) and Rotterdam (2007). Creating Opera has been one of the highlights in my carreer as a game designer.
At this moment (2012) I am working with Gert-Jan Oomis on a new project which I am enjoying very very much. It is a concept we have been working on for years, but now it is getting closer and closer to finalization. The game is called COUNTDOWN Special Ops and it is a game which has some nice new game mechanisms in it. I personally enjoy the way we have integrated the time dimension into the game very much and not only the time bombs, but in several other ways (interaction). In the COUNTDOWN EXPERIENCE the demo play will be in real time with a VIDEO PRESENTATION. What I also enjoy very much is that this game is just for gamers. All games I have worked on in the past were not entirely designed for gamers, so I always had to hold back a bit. This time I have no limits, which feels good. Complexity in this game will be in the various combinations, but not in the game system. This will be straight forward.
If you have any questions for me, I will try to answer them as soon as possible (my account is Brainmaster).
