Ljuban Dedić (born 1956, Prozor-Rama, nowadays Bosnia-Hercegovina - died 6th of January, 2010, Split, Croatia) was a professor of Statistics at Split university. Besides that, he was Yugoslavian champion of International Checkers in 1989 and president of the Croatian Draughts association later. Dedić developed Croda out of his dissatisfaction with the number of draws in International Checkers.
